About Us

Building a Digitally Inclusive Canada

Computers for Success Canada (CFSC-OPEC) is a national non-profit organization  committed to building a more digitally inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and economically empowered Canada.

We are funded by the Government of Canada through Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED). We work with industry leaders, and a network of provincial and territorial affiliates to reduce the digital divide, extend the life of technology, and provide digital skills training to Canadians who need it most.

Our Vision

Together for a Stronger Future: CFS+ Vision

Computers for Schools Plus (CFS+) is a Government of Canada program that bridges the digital divide and empowers youth with digital skills. By refurbishing donated electronics, it provides affordable technology to schools, nonprofits, libraries, Indigenous communities, and low-income Canadians, while offering paid digital skills internships and keeping thousands of tonnes of e-waste out of landfills.

Testimonials

Programs That Change Lives

"The students are my true inspiration. It’s easy to want to help them in any way I can. The computers from CFS are one way we do that. It gives them a sense of being a part of this culture, and that’s not something to take lightly.”
Jen
Director, Community Aid
“Computers for schools, when it comes down to it, is about real people with real lives. CFS touches so many lives and that’s the really exciting part.”

Susan
“The people I meet here, they come to Canada and they don’t know a word of English. When they get a computer, it helps them learn and helps them communicate back home. It’s simple stuff, but it makes a difference.”

“As a society, if we can promote kindness, if we can hold the door open for someone, why wouldn’t we? This is my little contribution to that. I got into the program because of luck, but I’ve stayed for the people. It’s the people part that makes the difference.”
