Government Program Eligibility

What is the Connecting Families Initiative?

CFI (Connecting Families Initiative), a Government of Canada program, helps low-income Canadian families and seniors access affordable high-speed internet, reducing the digital divide and enabling all families to benefit from internet connectivity.

To be eligible for the Connecting Families Initiative, households must have received an invitation letter from the Government of Canada, containing a unique access code. Eligibility is based on household income and qualifications for the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) or Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), evaluated annually. If you’ve received this letter, you can participate in the CFI and access its benefits.
